In math, the class has started looking at 2D shapes and 3D objects. Students have been sorting shapes and objects using a single attribute. Today the children worked in groups to create a castle using 3D objects and then, after a 'gallery walk', counted the different types of objects.

Weaving
Over the last two weeks the class has been working on a Social Studies weaving unit. In this unit students have learned about the ancient craft of weaving and that weaving has been used by many cultures in Canada. Here, the students learned about the cultural significance of Metis sash weaving and tried their hand at finger weaving.

Zumba
This week the students participated in some Zumba classes with Margaret Benson a former North Van teacher. We all learned some new moves and had lots of fun. The class has one more session next week.
