Gingerbread Houses

The children designed and built gingerbread houses today.  Much fun was had by all!

Outdoor Learning; Making Christmas Ornaments

The rain and wind held off today for outdoor learning, hooray.  We started by having the children go to their 'sit spot' to look and listen.  After sharing their observations, the children had some free exploration time.  There was fort making, bug house building digging and exploring.  We read and sang The Woodland Christmas (Twelve Days of Christmas) and then the children made ornaments for  the forest out of found items.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Jingle Walk

Today was the Jingle Walk.  Our Street was 17th and 18th.  We collected lots of food for the food bank.  The children were thrilled every time they found a food donation at a house.  Today we made a  difference in our community.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Decorating Gerry's Tree

Yesterday our grade 4/5 buddy class helped us make Christmas ornaments.  Today we they helped us decorated a tree in Gerry's garden behind the school.
