Outdoor Learning

Today's provocation:  "Can you use forest materials and some twine to create a boat?"
The children worked in small groups to create something that floats.  We then headed to the creek to test the contraptions.  It was very exciting, lots of squeals of delight and very wet feet.

 

 

 

 

 

Km Club

We had our first ribbon ceremony for km club.  The children were all very excited to receive a ribbon or two.

Chicks

Today the children were able to hold the chicks!  After holding and observing they then recorded their observations in their Science journals.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Easter Fun

Today we shared different things families like to do at Easter.  The children also learned about an egg rolling tradition in the UK.  They were each given an hard boiled egg  and asked to decorated it.  For outdoor learning they took their eggs outside and we found hills to roll them down.   There was much  laughter and squeals of delight.  WE then continued on to the forest.
