Jingle Walk

Today we headed out into the neighbourhood to collect food for the harvest project.  It was damp and cold but the children did not complain.  They were all very excited when there was food left by the door. The school from hall is now filled with food!  Well done Brooksbank.

 

 

 

 

 

Buddies

On Thursday we met up with our buddy class and made ornaments.   Today we went up to Gerry's garden and decorated a tree. If you have a moment, please go up and have a look.  The Brooksbank children have done a beautiful job.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Stories

The children started their day with a tray filled with small items like trees, people, snowflakes, decorations and wood pieces.  They were asked the question:
"What stories live in these materials?"
The groups then created stories, orally, using the materials.  Some worked on their own and others worked with a partner or in table groups.
In the afternoon the students were given the trays again and this time were asked:
"What math stories live in these materials?"
The children then used the items to create and record number equations.
