Chinese New Year
We celebrated Chinese new year today. The bakers of the month made Fortune cookies for the class. Thank you to parent Nikki for organizing, supervising and writing the fortunes. I read a couple of Chinese New Year books. They children made dragons and a little booklet about Chinese New Year.

100th Day of School
Happy 100th day of school!
Here's what your child will look like when they are 100.
Today we celebrated the 100th day of school. The children shared their 100 collections and we grouped and counted by 10s. After recess the children made their gorp snack by taking 10 treats from 10 plates, so in the end they ate 100 tiny pieces of food. In the afternoon, the children participate in 100 day stations with the rest of the ope area.

Valentine's Day
We started the morning with a pancake breakfast and some fruit. Thank you to the parents who helped serve and provided fruit. The children were all very happy to have a pancake breakfast at school. After recess the children handed out their Valentine cards and then opened them all up. They were very excited, opening each card, finding out who it was from and carefully looking at the detail. They last activity of the day was an assembly for Jump Rope For Heat. An information package went home today.
