Elmer the Safety Elephant

Today we had visit from Elmer the safety elephant.  Elmer talked about safe places to play, road and car safety.  The students learned to look both ways before crossing the street, point to where they want to go and wave at the driver so they are seen.  They also meet Ruff the dog whose favourite word is click because he loves the sound of the seatbelt going click.  You may hear your child say, "leave the phone alone" if you are using it while driving.  Some of the children freely shared stories of parents who text and drive ( you know who you are....).
