Summer Celebration

Today we celebrated the end of summer.  After a story,  we discussed all the things we would have to say goodbye to now that it is Fall.  They then contributed a page to a class big book.  The children used their towels for silent reading time after recess.  After lunch we read a poem called Summer Melon and identified some sounds.  The children then had some watermelon outside and blew bubbles.  We finished the day with a summer people find sheet with the other grade one class.  Much fun was had by all!
