Genius Hour

Today the children choose one of their wonders from the wonder wall to investigate.  Some on the children chose to work together while others wanted to work on their own.  Everyone starts with what they already know and then use an iPad to find more information.  They were all very excited to start the process.  Some of the inquiry topics include:
                                  -What are UFOs?
                                  -How do spiders make webs?
                                  -How do trees grow so big?
                                  -How does the sky go from night to day?
                                  -How did the earth form?
                                  -How do evergreen trees stay green?
                                  -How do tornados come?
                                  -How is the sun hot?
                                  -Why is a thumb not a finger?
