During outdoor learning today, we had a discussion about where gifts and toys come from. Some of the responses included; Santa, toy stores, and Toys are Us. We then asked the children to imagine a time long ago when there were not any toy stores and how gifts might have been created. The students were then given the challenge of making a gift or toy form things they found int the forest. Twine and wire were provided as well as some burlap and beads. Some of the gifts created were; a dream catcher, doll, bow and arrow, animal house and ornaments. Sorry if your child's picture is not included, my phone decided it was too cold to work anymore.
