Outdoor Learning: How do Animals Prepare For Winter

Today we looked at how animals prepare for winter.  Mrs. Kristensen read a story called Time To Sleep.

The children were then put in groups of 3 or 4.  They drew an animal name out of the bag and were given the task of creating a winter home for their animal.  There was much discussion about shelter, how to protect from predators and food source.
