Shape Hunt

Today the students went on a secret shape hunt.  The challenge was to collect as many things as they could that had their assigned shape.  We then came back to the class and after sharing the items in the basket the class had to identify the chosen shape.

Earth Day

This week in honour of Earth day we did a forest clean up during our outdoor learning.  The children were instructed to only use the tongs and not pick up anything sharp.  It was a little sad to see two big bags of garbage pulled out of a relatively small area but the children worked hard and were very please with themselves.

Chick Party!

On Monday we had a party for our chicks as it was their lastly with us.   We played pin the tail feather on the chicken.  The children got to hold a chick if they wanted, some chose to pet then chick instead.  The children ate chicken feed (popcorn0.  They all wanted to eat it like chickens and then I handed out noise makers and the children blew to their hearts content outside.

 "Look, I can eat like a chick?"

 Nothing better then making as much noise as you can!
