Out door learning

We began our out door learning session with free play and then the children found their sit spot and sat in silence (mostly) for five minutes looking, listening, touching smelling and then drawing or writing about their observations.

I then read the story The Hungry Caterpillar .  The children were put into groups of three and, using materials in the forest, recreated the beginning, middle and end of the story.

And finally some of the students were beyond excitement to find many many wood bugs.
