Outdoor Leaning

Today was our first afternoon of outdoor learning.  At 1:00 we put on our rain gear and headed out the door.  The children were very excited.

Once we were at our location we reviewed safety rules, bounderies and how to be respectful and responsible in the forest.  The children had some exploration time and we played a "come back" game to the sound of a wolf howling.

Mrs. Kristensen then read a story called Looking Closely at The Forest.  The children then set out with magnifying glasses to find four forest artifacts.  Students shared what they knew about their
artifact and something they were wondering about.
