Thanksgiving week.

What a busy week!  We had our first outdoor learning afternoon and continued to look at seasons in science through the underlying concept of change.  We have also wrapped up a math unit on patterns and have just started looking at numbers.  I read Twas the Night Before Thanksgiving and then the children made their own turkey.

We brainstormed what we are thankful for and the grade ones made a thankful book and the Ks drew a picture of what they were thankful for.

This morning we did our final Mm activity using modelling clay.  The children molded the letter Mm and then made things that began with Mm.
I read a poem about First Peoples giving thanks and the children wrote/ drew a thank you to the earth.
For lunch the children got into groups of 4 or 5 and shared a Harvest Lunch.
Have a lovely Thanksgiving weekend!
