Artist For Kids Field Trip

Today we went to see an gallery exhibit and participate in a hands on set activity at Artist For Kids.  The children were taken through the caller by a docent.  They shared their thoughts and ideas about a variety of creations.

Owl Pellets

Today we had a super science day.  A classmate and parent brought in owl pellets for the class.  The students learned a little bit about owls, what they eat and how their bodies process, or not, their food.
They were each given an owl pellet to dissect.  They all found many bones.   The children were able to match up the skeleton parts to examples on a poster in order to determine what kind of animal was eaten.  It was all very exciting!
