Learning Doubles Facts

In math, the children have been learning doubles facts to 12+12.  They have used mirrors to see doubles, created doubles picture with our 'loose parts' boxes, gone on a doubles hunt and sung the doubles song.  Please help your child practice doubles facts at home.

Snow Fun!

Today for outdoor learning we had the 'trifecta' of fun.  We headed up the the baseball field at Loutet park.  The children had some free time play where they made forts, snow angels and romped in the snow.  The children then got into groups and made snow volcanoes.  We added food colouring, baking soda and vinegar to make them erupt.  There were lots of squeals of delight.  We completed the fun with belly and bum slides down a large hill.
