Science: Light and Sound

The students were given a basket of materials to sort.  They used sorting rules like colour and type of material.  They were then told to use a light and sort the objects again.  Students noticed that the light went through some objects and not others, and partially through some.  We then learned the scientific names;  opaque, translucent and transparent to describe the objects.
